So many 997TT's for Sale

I am in the car business and it amazes me how many 997's even 08's are coming across for sale. I have not heard a single person with a complaint about the car yet there are all these cars up for sale. I have taken in lamborghinis and Ferraris for the 997TT but I have yet to take in a 997TT. Are you guys noticing how many are on the market right now and wondering why because I sure am!

reason is simple, economy sucks. First items to get cut from the ol' budget are 2nd homes and weekend cars.

How are the prices? I am hoping to see $90s by the end of year.

What I have noticed is plenty of very low mileage cars (few hundred to a couple thousand miles). Kind of makes me wonder what's going on.

My opinion is that this economy has a lot of people spooked. They are waiting for the bottom to fall out and dont want to be stuck with a car. Once the honeymoon of the new car is over the thought of it losing 30% of its value in a economic downturn is not that appealing. (Not that this will happen). The next 12 months will be a good indicator of where things are headed.

The Porsche dealer was giving me the hype today of 997tt's being "very hard to get".

There are just a lot of them being made and on the market. Same with gallardos.

IMHO there are not that many Turbo's being made. I would say a good portion of the owners just like getting something new ever 6 months to a year.

Vote for the Vet

The fact that these are all low mileage cars indicates that they are obviously 'toys' and not daily drivers - supporting that reason...
