Help with Tourist Delivery

Anybody do this? I have a Sept build and am waiting for a definite date that I can pick the car up. How much advance notice did you get from your dealer? I want to buy discounted business class tickets. If Porsche takes too long then I can't take the trip.

This may help some. You can pick up the car anytime after production completion, and get about 1 month notice

So you only had 1 month to arrange plane tickets and take time off from work.

The exact production completion date is known about a month out. You don't have to go right then and could make arrangements to go say 30 days after the completion date. I am a tightwad, and the trip was worth every penny.

My problem is that 1) I need business class tickets (6'6" tall) and need to book in advance so that I can get discounted tickets. Also my OR schedule is booked 2-3 mos in advance.

Just book your tickets and have your girls move the cases around. That's what I do all the time. There is no point to being that busy if you cannot take vacation time without feeling tied down!

I wish it was that easy. I'll have to see how things work out.

Got my confirmation yesterday. Booked flights last night. It's a done deal. Off to Germany in Oct. Can't wait. Now I have to study maps and figure out where I want to go. Now that's fun work.
