PSS10 vs KW Variant 3...which is better ???

I dont know much about those suspesion and how do they transfer 997 TT handling...what can I expect and which ones should I get for my new car

All I know that Blisteins are PASM compatable and KWs are fully adjustable and so on...

IF KW is not PASM compatable does this mean SPORT I will only have one set up...no SPORT button...???

Basically I need really good set up for street and rarely for track..may be 3-4 times a year...mostly used for agressive city driving...

What are advatnages of each porducts, anyone used them ??? Share what you feel after you did this mods on street and track...

Also how do they behave on bumpy roads...

Thanks

KWV3s are very good. But like all aftermarket coilovers (except Bilstein Damptronics) you need someone with PIWIS to shut off PASM.

have you seen KW Hydrolic Lift System coil overs? you can either have it on the front or select the option for both front and rear...here is a video on their website...

Both highly reputable companies and I don't think you can go wrong with either. The Bilstein is PASM compatible and I do find its PASM Firm setting to be useful when I am out on curvy back roads -- unlike stock PASM Firm which in my opinion is a useless setting .

I doubt you would find a head to head comparison from users/reviewers, let alone from one whose preference and usage are similar to yours (critical point). That said, an important clue is to look at the spring rates, Bilstein PSS10/Damptronic's rate could be found on page 1 of the thread in my signature, maybe you could contact KW Suspension to find out its spring rates and post the answer here?

The springs could be changed of course but I think this data will give the first clue.

Actually, Can, there is a comparison review. A year or so ago, there was a European tuner comparison in SportAuto...TechArt, 9ff, SpeedArt, Gemballa, and I think one other...All tuned 600ish HP cars.

While not a direct comparison, I believe the TechArt coilovers are re-valved Bilsteins, and the SpeedArt were KW-V3s...the underpowered SpeedArt had the fastest lap time.

Bob thanks for the correction. Your literature knowledge is impressive. Was this on 997 Turbo? (If you happen to have a copy please email it to me cannga@pacbell.net .)

Can, I think it was AMS...I'll try and find the scans. And to be fair, it's not a direct comparison...obviously TechArt has revalved their coilovers and they aren't exactly the Damptronics, but the two setup's are pretty close.

I would go with the KW V3 with the new HLS system. THe new HLS system works like the stock Gallardo system and allows you to lift the nose when going up or down steep driveways. Very important for lowered cars or cars with body kits.

I have had both KW V3 and Bilstein PSS9 and IMO I prefer the KW V3.

Where is the best place to get KW products ???

One thing worries me how to set upi this suspension for our bumpy roads...many people here say that I dont need it for Moscow...

contact board sponsors www.autotalent.com

They have the best prices as they are the largest distributor of KW suspension in North America.

You are looking around $8-10K for the setup along with a $1000 install for the wiring and suspension.
