E55 a real good drag car??

Been to 0-1000m race with bulk of mates today.

We can't beat a bone stock E55 by a modified M6(evo pulley,ecu tune,evoheader and full exhaust,claimed around 560hp).
No matter who drive the M6,we have tried with a professional racer but still can't beat the standard E55.after 100mph the M6 got pulled even farther...Is this what it should be?I ve also drove the M6 for a race and all I can feel M6 under good power but lack smg gear change..The E55 just keep pulling like a monster..

The E55 is an awesome standing start car, but at higher speeds even a stock M6 should pull away. The Achilles heel of the E55's straightline performance is gearing of 4th and 5th. The top gears are pretty tall, so once the E55 shifts into 4th at around 130mph acceleration falls off noticeably. The M6 will be biting chunks out of the E55 at 130mph+.

The E55 driver could also be lying about the car being stock. Pulley and ECU tune can push the E55 to 120mph quarter mile trap speeds.

I think the same, m6 should pull away over 120 mph if the e55 is stock.

Or it could be a factory freak like mine. dynodynamics put me at 489RWHP and 525RWTQ and a dyno jet put me at 481RWHP and 505RWTQ....and that is STOCK! Well, at least from what I can tell because there is no pulley, headers, filters etc. on the car. And she sure does pull like a freight train.

Point in case, the E55's are all over the place...some really fast, some a little slower. Your friend may just have a "good one". Or like Point2Point said, he may have some work done. But most people are proud of their mods and tout them, so i doubt that.

I agree, the M6 is nothing great down low, top end (especially for a 100k supercar) and could barely pull on my overpriced Toyota Prius from 120 to 170 plus! Well, to 155 (All beemers are limited)

Maybe the E55 w211 have a ecu flash. That alone could change the power band on top end.

If you are talking about the dealer flash, than that has been proven to reduce power substantially. However if you mean ECU tune, then that has been proven to increase power substantially.
