GT 500 KR X2 What color to buy ?
Sorry for the crappy pics. I am going to buy one of these two KR's and I am trying decide which one. The blue is my choice and the silver my fathers (he's in the last pic with all the grey hair
The owner of these Shelby's also has a red w/silver stripes KR, four GTR's, two challengers, and three camaros on the way. These cars are not titled and are for sale way below what a dealer is asking. Just wanted to share and ask what color you think is best -- silver or blue ?

I would do the blue. I like the mustang in that blue and you also already have a silver z06. I would rip off the stripes and decals and do them in a matte black, then either powdercoat the stockers the same black, or do a 3-piece with flat black centers and color matched lips.
That is true and I have been contemplating that notion for a while now. I just cannot get over the look though, that muscle car look, it's a gorgeous car and will be a collector someday (number 124). I have always loved American muscle cars and when I heard the Camaro would be offered in only V6 first year and they will not make a vert Challenger or Camaro (at least for a while anyway)due to the economy my choice was all that much easier. I will not say what I can buy the KR for as the owner may run across this thread and tell me to pound stone. He is doing a favour for my father and I. A big one. I f I buy it I will never sell it. Have you seen one going down the road? much less heard it ? Yeah it can't handle for crap and it's slower but it's history, a true SHELBY, and while he is still alive I would love to drive it to Vegas and get his signature, hell just see him in the flesh -- he is my hero. Sorry for rambling but I am a sucker for American Muscle. The Z will stay a little while longer until I can find her a good home.

Ohh, you'll love the car. (I would go with red of course)
I drove one and loved the way it sounds, looks and handles. It's not a race car, but it's a fun car. It goes sideways in first gear in a controllable (throttle) manner and then a little in second. It's muscle car fun ! Very powerful. It responds in whatever gear you're in.

You sold me on it! I appreciate your enthusiasm and you should go for the gusto.......keep it stock, drive it on weekends and give it to your kids.
My kids exactly. My father had a 67 shelby balck/gold stripes and had to sell to prevent some catastrophic financial problems. I actually cried when I saw that gt 350 getting towed away. I will never let my kids see something like that. Hell I would live outta' the SOB before I let that happen

And I wouldn't expect this "Shelby" to be wrth anything anytime soon. The name IMO and in many others has been diluted to the point Carol himself sued and barely settled with the Shelby of America club. Just drive one first, I drove a buddies GT500 and it felt like a tank. I don't think yo'd be happy at all going from a ZO6 to that....
