In helmet radios...
the radio itself is not inside the helmet as it would add significant weight which would not be a good thing in an accident...there are ear/mike pieces that can be built into the helmet but most use a flexible ear/mike piece that slides into the helmet to your ear and places the mike in front of your mouth...easier to do with an open face but still works with a full face...there are many different manuf...and you can search for items like these...

Are you referring to the in-car communication. I personally have the Chatter Box.

the chatter box is an intercom for driver and instructor not a radio but it has a plug for a two way radio, which will be extra...nady also makes one...

If you want cheap pit-car communications, we just bought some good Midland radios (only $70/pai) and a standard motorcycle full face helmet kit ($30). Did this for my LeMons team, luckily one of our drivers has a Sampson kit we can pair with it for the spotter.
I looked at the Chatter Box when I started instructing, but bought a cheap motorcycle intercom system from Ebay for $40. It works just as good.
They are starting to come out with bluetooth systems, but they are still $$$ and it really hasn't trickled down to our type of application yet. However, it will be nice when it does... no more damn wires.

I used the Chatterbox system at first, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Since then I have moved up to a Rugged Radios system and I am very pleased with the results. This system also allows communication with the pits, music, telephone interface and video integretion if so desired. http://www.ruggedradios.com/ Hope this helps.
