Always wanted it now I have it

In July of 2005 when I purchased my first Porsche it was either a 996 turbo cab or a 997s cab. I went with the 997s because the 996 turbo just seemed old technology. So for the past 4 years I have done everything to make my 997S that "special" car for me including supercharging it. And ... while it was a great ride, it wasnt that Turbo that I wanted.

So after doing a week of detailed research, I woke up this morning, and purchased a 2009 997 Turbo cab at 25K under sticker. Black on Black. I will be bringing it back for some mods on Monday, but I now have my Turbo cab for almost the same price I paid for my "built" my my05 997S.

I guess its all about timing. So now I get to move over to the Turbo thread

Thanks for all the advise

Thanks for the replies an PMs. I feel like a kid again. After everything I learned and did the mods I did myself to the 997s, I'm ready to start with the Turbo. The funny thing is when I woke up this morning, the wife and teanage kids said go for it (not that it would have mattered) but 4 hours at home, they seem to be enjoying as much as me. My seventeen year son old took it out for a spin with his friend.

Congratulations hjacobs2000!!!

I knew you would get it when you told me who you were negotiating with.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me too -- I am negotiating one now(not with Champion unfortunately). Hopefully I will wrap it up this weekend.

I know what you will be doing every second this weekend... Congrats again!!
