Vivid Racing Tune and Agency Power Exhaust - 600HP
The guys at Turbokits.com hooked up a 997TT 6spd with a Vivid Racing ECU Flash, Agency Power exhaust, and Agency Power boost recirculation valves to put down 486awhp and 550ft/lbs of torque on a Mustang Dyno. Mustang Dyno's usually read quite low so figuring a 25% drivetrain loss, this is 607HP to the crank!
It's always been my understanding that dyno's need calibration just like any other measuring equipment and I wonder why Mustangs "usually read quite low"? And yes, I do understand that you are usually taking relative changes on the same dyno, but still...
25% drivetrain loss seems to me to be very high. It would mean that having awd @ 480hp (crank) would actually result in ~360hp (crank) available to the wheels. A C2S with 385hp (crank) would conceivably now be as fast as a TT...if not faster. Doesn't make sense to me.
I dont know, I was just sharing the video with our products.
What I can say is that the car has 480hp to the crank right? On our Mustang dyno, there is a 20-25% drivetrain loss which would equal about 360-370 to the all wheels. That is consistant with our test on our project 997tt dyno below.

Comparing our dyno results of the JIC Cross exhaust and the Vivid Racing ECU Flash, the results are pretty similar. Our car made 491awhp and 494ft/lbs. See below...

On a side note, someone left me disturbing negative feedback about our Agency Power exhaust... Vivid Racing started testing on this exhaust back in 2007 as you can see the date of these pictures.

Dan, your dyno results tend to confuse me. A stock tip 996tt makes 355 (thread in the 996 forum), while a stock 997tt makes 360-370?
I agree, this is why dyno's are really tuning tools and should not be looked at for absolute results....
Great gains on the 997tt. Is this the turbokits.com from CT?

Tony I said that in the post above, the stock 997TT makes about 360-370. My personal car dyno above made a little more. A stock 996TT Tip we recently did can be seen here with the baseline - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...eady-rock.html
Both numbers match what you said. Now have a great day!

Well done Dan...Good gains from stock to tuned...we all have to remember that dyno numbers are not for absolute values but for comparison...Abslute number may vary depending upon dyno calibration...but difference from a tune on same dyno, same day, same car and same temp...is actual and real...keep up the good work Dan...

I agree, the only numbers that matter are difference b/t baseline and results on the SAME dyno. Comparing results from different dynos is of no use, they all read differently. Looks like good results off the baseline.
Thanks guys, I usually post as much as I can on owners cars on www.vrtuned.com
