11 Turbo S or GT2
new Turbo S or GT2
Help! I can't decide on if I should look for a very slightly used GT2 or get a brand new Turbo S.

Ask yourself if you want to track your car or use it as a Granturismo?
I have a GT2 and have driven a turbo S alot. The S is faster on the street than the GT2 but the GT2 has better steering and just plain feels better to me. The S has deadly acceleration to about 120mph after that speed the GT 2 seems faster to me. I personally like rear wheel drive better than AWD but my GT2 is really a weekkend driver and not a DD or a foul weather car. Either way you will have fun.
Having driven a 997 GT2 and a TT I can tell you they are very, very different cars. The GT2 is an extremely precise automobile. The TT, IMO, is sloppy in comparison (handling and high speed stability). They are both very fast and very quick. If I had the option to buy either one I'd purchase the GT2 as it is, in my humble opinion, a very rare car.

I recently traded my 08TT with AWE exhaust, Bilsteins and sways for an 08 GT2 and the difference is amazing. Driving sensation and feel are all very mechanical in the GT2. The TT was an amazing car but the 4 wheel drive took away from the driving sensation. It felt like a gentleman's GT car as compared to the more exotic feel of the GT2.
I think that the perfect option would be for Porsche to offer both rear wheel drive and four wheel drive turbos.

I'm kind of in the same position as the OP. Thinking about ordering a new Turbo or picking up a GT2. Right now, I'm leaning towards the GT2 as it's rear wheel drive and has taken on a good portion of its depreciation. In either car I want a 6 speed manual, so the S is out for me. I've had a 997 GT3 and liked the feeling and drive of that car. From what I understand, the GT2 has similar suspension to the GT3 but with the extra power of course. I'm not taking anything away from the S as it's about the fastest car around for the money. But I want that connectivity that a true manual provides. Any input from GT2 owners would be appreciated.
