Parking light bulb replacement on 997 turbo

Anyone know how to change the front parking light bulb on a 2007 997 turbo?
I don't want to break anything and it is a long way to a dealership. I know it takes a W5W blue vision bulb.

Are you referring to the side marker lenses?

No, it is the parking light that activates when you use the turn signal switch with the ignition off. It is on the outside end of the LED turn signal array under the headlight. However, I have found the solution. There is a small screw underneath the assembly at the outside end. I had to lay on my back and look up to see it. Once that is removed, the assembly can be slid out and the socket removed. I really liked the way Porsche left me only about 1/2" of slack in the wire harness.

Ah yes. The small Phillips head screw is nicely tucked out of sight but almost impossible to find unless you know where to look. And yes, there is NO slack on that wiring harness.

Now that you know how to replace it, this LED makes a nice appearance upgrade:

They are very pretty, but unless they revamped their line and have a little bit better quality control, I'd stay away. I had their side markers, front "parking light" and fogs. One or both of each set failed within a few months of install. FWIW, I do have to say they have EXCELLENT customer service and gave me a refund after I sent them back.

Mine failed pretty quickly also. Put my stock bulbs back in, have yet to send them back to Hoen. Any alternative LED's out there?

I did a V-LED's bulb in a soft blue on mine. Looks spectacular, but threw a warning every time I start the car which is annoying. Agree there is no slack on the loom but the job can be done in about 3 minutes per side. If you care about your paint add a few strips of masking tape to the in-board edge connection point on the vehicle as the light seems to want to hit there when trying to wiggle the bulb out.

Almost 4 months with the Hoen LED's and no problems (fingers crossed) - car is DD.
