PCM stopped working all of a sudden.. what gives ?

Guys,
i drove down to baltimore yesterday in my 997. everything worked as normal.
I turn the car on today, and i got this error.

any ideas on how to fix it ?

it literally just happened overnight.
the only thing im thinking is that the humidity might have played a factor ???
the radio displays the station and the name of the aritst/track but there is no sound.
Sat radio does not work. CDC and Ipod arent working either...

Intermediate communication failure of a devise in the MOST loop is the likely culprit. Do you have a 3rd party product in the loop? Tooki, Mo-Bridge, etc?

Which aftermarket interface do you have? Most have a reset button that should be accessible, and save you the trouble of disconnecting the battery.

That doesn't look like the cable that comes with either the Dension, Nav-TV, or MoBridge.

Not sure if you have a reset button.

I have XM on mine... It happens to me every so often...a couple of times a year. The first time I disconnected the battery as well and all was fine afterwards.

The second time it happened I had to stop by the gas station and get gas. When I shut the car off and restarted it after putting gas, everything was fine. Every time it has happened to me after that, I waited until I had to stop or turn the car off. Then the problem would go away. Weird...I am glad it only happens 2-3 times a year though.

I think if you press 148 all at the same time it will re-boot the PCM.
