Guys.
ive got a ton of pics of my install of the Numeric Racing ssk and cables.

ONE of the cables appear too short. No one is at Numeric today. and my car has been sitting on a lift since last night.

it appears that gears 2 4 and 6 do not have enough throw.
has anyone had issues with installing the cables ? i need to get some answers or a resolution by tonight otherwise im putting my factory cables back on.

our transmissions require 1 7/8ths inch of travel.
factory cables (we measured 996, 997, and cup car cables). they are all 2"
the numeric unit is 1 5/8ths.

can anyone help?

im sure im doing something wrong.

 

Can you use the factory cables on the new shifter?
If so, that's what I would do given the circumstances. The chance of the stock cable failing is microscopic IMHO.

yes, that will be our worst case scenario.
this picture should explain the issue. i hope i'm doing something wrong and that its not the cables.

here's a pic.
the car is in 4th gear. the cable does not go all the way.

 

the ends are adjustable, and we pushed them to the absolute farthest they will go to.

 

i also wanted to mention two positives.
the SSK is absolutely amazing. its a very mechanical feeling. no play. no wiggle. no movement.
also, the cables DO NOT VIBRATE AT ALL.

 

Looks like some guys are already reporting failures with the Numeric shifter on the GT3.....

they sent me two of the same cables.
they sent me the same cable that mounts on the reverse gear tab.
theyre the exact same length, but theyre not supposed to be. i put the oem 997 cables back on until they send over another set. (im assuming)

 

i read all 5 pages. only see 1 person that had an issue. how does that relate to "SOME GUYS"? lets not make more out of it than it was
