do your pccbs act like this ?

Guys,
im trying to figure out if i have air in my brake lines or if this is normal..

so i was driving home from philly tonight and played with a camaro. (pretty fast car)
we had a few bursts and on the final one i got to 130ish and was hard on the brakes. they didnt bite hard..i had to push the pedal down hard to slow down. it felt like fade but ccb's arent supposed to fade.

im being told that ccb's bite hard initially then go soft and then go hard once theres heat in them. is that true ?

the explanation was that the initial bite we feel is from the carbon deposit on the pads themselves, and then they go soft because the rotors need to get some heat in them to be grabby.

.
.
.

or do i just have air in my system ?

it was 9 degrees btw.

when was the last time you've changed break fluid ?
also check for any leaks by cap on the break fluid container.

Master cylinder or moisture in your system.

Classic moisture case is my guess.

Yes that should fix it everytime I have had what your describing I flushed it and was fine.

Do you use a power flush?

I used a MightyVac and didn't work as well.

the last time we flushed it, i sat in the car, pumped the brakes... we started from one side of the rear and worked our way according to how prosche does it.. there were no air bubbles coming out of the lines once we were done... but i think it might be in the secondary reservior

i dont know what a power flush is, but im assuming we didnt use it... just pumped it out manually.

Once they are up to temperature they grab instantly and I have not experienced any fade issues.

How were the road conditions, was it wet outside? I've noticed a substantial decrease in effectiveness if the braking system is wet. ie.. relatively heavy rain, after a car wash..
