I was told by several 997TT owners to leave the stock intake as is.

That the aftermarket ones are not a major jump up.

Lets hear other opinions and see, i'm also interested to know

Nope. Waste of your money. By a better upgrade and leave intake stock. No aftermarket exceeds or even equals stock. It will actually detract from your performance and allow more debris into your engine...not good. Stock flows plenty of CLEAN, COOL, fresh air and the volume is adequate for most any mods you could contemplate.

This is not directed at Fabspeed per se, just all the aftermarket designed intakes and even oiled filters that will gum up your MAF ($800 to replace).

Good luck to you!

You bet! For about twice the cost of this useless upgrade, you could get a ECU tune and REALLY notice the difference big time. There are many good (and some not so good) vendors that offer tunes. I have a Softronic tune, and it is the most popular....And I love mine. But do your research and get what you are comfortable with....Or nothing if you like your stock car...They are FAST out of the box.

Hi there....

Honestly, if you are looking for sound....Exhaust has the biggest impact there. While it won't really help stock performance much, if any....You can consider some headers. They are cheaper than an exhaust and you will hear your turbos spool a little clearer due to design and materials.

Exhaust is your best bet for sound though....Look for a good used one, if you want to watch the cost $$. I think I just saw a used one (Fabspeed) on eBay for around $2K?

Good luck.
