Front suspension "clicking" in tight turns

A few months back I've installed GMG sways and springs on my car and so far I am very happy with the results. Good for street and great on the track.

I do have one problem though. In slow, tight turns I hear a "clicking" sound from the front suspension. I can also feel this in the steering wheel if I turn to full lock (either way) with the car stationary. I was told that the most likely cause is the drop links and I suspect that's the case. They are long, not adjustable and the GMG sway bar is stiffer (I have it setup at medium stiffness).

Is this something others with the GMG setup experienced? Do I just have to get used to it? Would Tarrett front drop links help?

Thanks.

If you suspect the drop links, you can test this theory by disconnecting one (just one, not both) drop link from the sway bar end. See if the noise goes away.

Is the noise present only when you take slow turn? Is also present when you go over rough/bumpy pavement? Do you hear it from both L/R or just one side?

BTW, I also run GMG bars with stock drop links but my car is not lowered. I set the front to full soft, rear is set to middle hole . . .

Interesting, I'll try disconnecting one drop link and see what happens.

It's hard to tell exactly which side the noise comes from, I would say it comes from either side, depending on which way I turn. With the car still, I feel a click in the steering wheel either way I turn.

Now that you mention it, I do get occasional noise when running over a bump at speed.

I think it's your top mounts. They might be worn out.

i think it's your springs "binding". esp at hard lock turns.

This goes back to the 996TT. I don't think anyone was able to definitively find the source.

My car does it, dealer told me it could be front diff. But 2 years later no issues, I also don't make tight turns anymore.

i had a similar problem. found out it was my aftermarket rims with tpms valves mounted on the inside of the rim. the valve was catching a plastic inner wheel well trim piece. Just a thought if you are running a different wheel.
