Best 100-200 997.2 Turbo PDK

Hey Guys,

My car is stock, just light wheels and 200 cell exhaust

0-100 kph 3,1

Hi Kayhan,

There are a lot of good tuning options. I have a similar setup as you. 997.2 PDK with 200 cel exhaust. I also have Champion Intercoolers and IPD Plenum with the GIAC/Champion tune. It is a mild set up certainly not the most powerful for a 997.2, but so far I have recorded the quickest verified 100-200kph time of 5.691 second on 91 octane. I also have a race gas file so I should be able to improve on that time significantly once the weather cools down and I get some race gas.

Thanks.
I emailed Mike and pm'd him and even posted my results in the 60-130 thread over in the 996 section...but it hasn't been added.

No worries because I'm going to try again with my race gas tune and improve on that time.

A 997.1TT MT needs about 700 crank Hp to achieve this time. (I tried many setups)
Dunno how much power Adam's car puts?

Yes I believe the stock 997.2 Intercoolers are very good. For one 1/4 mile dragstrip pass, maybe they are just as good as the Champion intercoolers. I got the Champion intercoolers because they are needed to go with their Stage 2 package to increase boost to 21psi. This is the same package as the Champion development car that did the 9.8 @ 135 quarter mile pass. I put more faith in results such as these than absolute dyno figures.

I do a lot of 1/2 mile airstrip races where the conditions are warm and IAT's can rise very fast. With the stock intercoolers and exhaust, at the top end the car would fall on its face. It doesn't do this now with stage 2. I recorded a half mile trap of 166.05mph at the last shift sector event.

In addition, I am starting to track my car where I am running 25 minutes at WOT and only the best intercoolers will stand up to these conditions. I tracked a couple weeks ago in 100 deg F conditions and the car never heat soaked. I had full power the the entire time. That is the real test for intercoolers!

To verify your pbox files instantly use vboxtools.com. Its really simple and straight forward, way better than using the Racelogic software.
