Techart Springs

Anyone have experience with these? Trying to decide between these and GMG. I'm more concerned with ride harshness since all springs will pretty much accomplish the same thing for performance.

I can not begin to tell you how many cars we have installed the TechArt Springs on. They ride very very smooth and comfortable. Much like stock however the drop is very subtle. They are not designed to be a huge drop but we have been extremely pleased with them. We still remain to use them as our primary spring for 991, 991 TT, 997, Etc.

Give us a call for more information

Alright. So if they keep the ride compliant like factory which is good to hear, how do they improve the handling?

Also how would they compare to GMG or H&R springs?

Not to hijack, but while we are on springs are there any spring upgrades at factory or very near factory ride height? My car came with H&R and scraping on EVERYTHING is getting old quick.

Techart, Eibach, and GMG drop the car .8 inches. So that is close. I believe H&R is over 1 inch.

I have the eibach springs on my car. The drop is just perfect. Don't know anything about the H&R's but believe the others mentioned are re- branded eibachs.

I have a set of Techarts that I still have to have installed. Do you also have to corner balance after installation?

I am also interested in techart springs for 2003 996 C2 coupe. Also the techart F&R sway bars. Any input will help.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you can only corner balance with adjustable coilover set ups? I guess you can corner balance on springs only, but that would mean each spring may have a different rate at each corner.

I have GMG springs on mine - and LOVE the ride, feels smoother yet tighter then factory. Perfect balance, cannot recommend them highly enough. And that is with no sway bars or any other suspension mods - a MUST do improvement. I went with GMG because of an advertised 'slight' drop and was worried the car would not sit low enough, but now with them installed would not want the car sitting a mm lower as the front lip is ground magnet on a lot of ramps / driveways etc.

All 4 market a 1 inch drop... Techarts 25mm drop is .98 inches.

TY, That sounds exactly what I want. I have a Aero (GT3) Front Bunper, and I live in Upstate NY, land of many potholes.
Really appreciate the advice.

1. Correct. You could only corner-balance with coilover, which has adjustable height, AND with after-market drop-link, which has adjustable length, like these http://www.tarett.com/items/911-prod...links/list.htm . It has to do with the way corner balancing is done - by raising/lowering height at each corner.

2. Not possible to corner balance with lowering springs since the ride heights are fixed. (All lowering springs for our Turbo lower the car about a fixed 20mm.)
