SRM EFR7163 Eliminator Kit breaks 1000whp!

Updates to my build, figured I'd start a new thread so some didn't have to dig through the previous 5 pages.

Graph shows me I have a boost leak as my response is 500rpm later than my previous runs. I've been aware of it for a bit, I haven't taken the time to build a new boost leak rig as the EFR's have a 2.5" inlet vs a 2".

I had to upgrade my injectors to 2000cc as I was hitting a limit on the 1400cc prior. I am now at a nice happy 60% IDC at this power level.

The graph I have pictured shows 998hp on a Mustang, but I did have a run with 1007hp, apparently I grabbed the wrong one.

The dynojet shows the comparison when I was running 26-27psi, I am now running 34-35psi on iboost5, and lesser boost levels on settings 4 and 3.

The dip at the end is due to load characteristics of the dyno, notice that it's not the same on the mustang (loaded dyno).

I bested 1068hp/1033ftlbs on E70 gas. I'll be returning Friday with e85, should be good for 1100!

Stay tuned!

*Update 10/5/16*

Tune performed by Turtle (aka Garth) - Tuning@turtletooned.com

This was at 28psi. We didn't push the turbos as hard as before and the engine / car is much happier with the torque hit at 1000 vs bumping it up to 1100 or so.

The results are 1129hp and 995ftlbs and a very smooth curve. Very happy with the results!

Running 1/2 mile on Sunday, updates to follow!

i'd take a closer a look at the "dip in the end" of the dynojet. i have dynoed many times on mustang and dynojet even sometimes on same day and i can tell you with certainty that is not a dyno loading issue.... its the proefi compensating for something because its not right. that something might be caused by light load on the dynojet but its something you should look into, as it should not be happening.

You are making serious power, but is there a reason that your power is dropping off up top i.e. past 6500rpm, running our of turbo hotside etc....?

Stock 997 parts, but considering switching to RSS or Torques Solutions pieces. I've used the RSS engine mounts before, was happy with them. Only other trans mounts I've used were from GMG.

With a boost leak. I'll have it corrected and re-run Friday.

I am also scaling the wastegate duty cycle, so peak torque would come on earlier, but that doesn't help traction. I'll probably scale it out more to allow for a linear curve and less fall off.

Great numbers guys. Mustang graph looks great.

Two minor 'complaints' if you could call them that, something fishy like Mark stated in that dynojet graph in the top end and the other is peak power coming in at 5500rpm and dropping off towards redline. Are the head/valvetrain built in this case?

Do you have the boost graphs? Is it holding 35psi all the way up and how are backpressure and EGTs looking at those boost levels?

Cheers! Great work. Run some numbers out there!!

Backpressure ratio was 1.3 on the mustang graph, no changes were made between that and the dynojet.

I turned the gates up and we hit 1.7 on backpressure and made no more power, so I dialed them back.

I wish my damn proefi was logging, but it got weird and didn't. I'll make sure it's logged on Friday.

Valvetrain is stock, I have a set of cams that need to go in, but they won't be in for another week. Also have Ferrea pieces to add to it. Head will not be ported, so I'm somewhat limited, but the plan isn't to exceed 35psi. If anything, I'd like to achieve the same power at 32psi with cams in place.
