Looking at possibly having my 997.1 TT in Arctic Silver lightly tinted (40-60% range). Any pictures with the tint product and percentage on Arctic Silver cars would be much appreciated!
Google is your friend...Not my car, but easy to find with Google search...

Yeah it's easy to google pictures of AS cars that have tint. Can you tell me what % tint and what product is on each of those cars? Probably not... Which is exactly why I posted this thread..

I'd think I'm about to remove the tint on my car. It was from Miami,.. so I totally get the first owner having it done. but I live in Michigan,.. and it just makes the black interior feel like I'm in a cave.
Here's a pic or two though.
And from when I first bought it. The first owner had the wheels powder-coated black,.. presumably so that it would look like it was on steelies all the time.

Thank you. Agreed that it's dark. Any idea what the % is?
I'd like to be a lot lighter than that

It's not that dark of tint. Perhaps 1/2 way to limo.
BUT,.. when you're looking into the car,... with the other windows tinted,... AND a black interior,.. it looks very dark. Yesterday driving down the road I noticed that looking out,.. it didn't look all that much darker than looking out the windshield.
If I had to guess,.. I'd say it was perhaps a 35% tint.
For my wife's car I did a 50% on the door glass,.. and a 30% on the rear doors and back window. Both for driving safety and also so that she doesn't get pulled over (front windows not legal to tint here).
My favorite is Huper Optik film. The premier series Sech and Drei. It was developed by them for Mercedes, and doesn't scratch. it also has much higher heat rejection than cheap stuff like Llumar and Solarguard.
The 35% Drei stuff is like 70% heat rejection,.. and it's 99.9% UV and 98% IR rejection. It looks clearer than that,.. (slightly grey and slightly reflective),.. yet it rejects heat better than a Llumar limo tint. It's what you'll see Merc dealers putting on the S-Class cars.
Also,.. whereas the lesser tints go from 96% UV rejection (and an unlisted IR, if any) to like 86% over a 4 year span,.. the Huper stuff will still be 99.9% some ten years down the road.

Thanks for all this. Huber Optik has some great product specs.. they are my go-2 at this point but need to get an idea on the right % tint. Thanks for you help!
