Problem with Aftermarket Exhaust / Valve Always Open
Hi Guys,
i’ve installed few month ago a 9FF valvetronic exhaust on my 997.1 TT. (Used )
i’ve noticed that from day 1, it takes some time for changing into loud mode.( 10 minutes)
but from few weeks, it doesn’t work at all ... the valve are always wide open , and there is no effect if i turn on or off the remote.
the system seems to be the same that the PSE ...
so my question, is : is this issue coming from the solenoid or it can come from another part? I ve checked, i didnt find any leak in the system.
i tried to close the valve with my hand, pushing on this accumulator, and for both it works.
in your case , They were able to move ?
you changed only one ? How did you find which one was broken ?
is there a place where i can purchase it ? I don’t think its a though task to replace it.
Yes I could move them both.
My valves close if vacuum is applied to the actuators. The vacuum was (nearly) gone because the broken actuator one had a leak. I found out which one by squeezing (blocking) the rubber hoses.
I contacted 9FF and received under warranty a new one.
Yes you're right, its not a though task to replace them.
If your actuators are fine it could be the electrically operated vacuum switch or an electrical issue.
i did some test , and actually, the both hoses ( after the « T » ) were pressed.
so i changed them, and now it works.
but i have a question : if i turn on into quiet mode, the valve turn right away, if i turn into loud mode, it takes a couple of minute. Is it normal ?
thanks
