Fitting rear aerokit fixed wing ?

I have managed to pick up a genuine rear Aerokit spoiler and have a couple of questions is there anything that needs coding out once fitted ? and removing the third brake light from my existing lid do you just lever it out from one end to release it.

any help appreciated

Gaz

You'll have to code your car as an aerokit car (so the rams don't lift up). Its pretty easy to do via Durametric. There are instructions floating around online somewhere.

What a find! With durametric pro I accessed the rear control module then went to spoiler and there are 2 parts which are basically an On/Off choice that speak about it being static or not. Then I believe I had to hit SAVE. It was pretty easy and the dealer tried but couldn't and started talking about charging to the tune of $500 or more so I traded in my enthusiast version for the pro and problem solved. good Luck. I love the Aero Kit on the turbo.

The one listed on the TEQ Aerokit (I-no. XAF)

is 997 612 670 71 but I would call Neal at Sonnen Porsche to confirm there has not been some update. If memory serves me correctly it's a loom for GT3/GT2 (with 3rd break light). Car looks good. Congrats

Thanks for that I have found a similar number 997 622 670 70 not sure if the 71 number you have is an update or the difference is one if with a 3rd brake light and one without ? some better pics of the car managed to get it outside at the weekend I have fitted lowering springs ,painted the skirts and fitted front aero.

Did you end up pulling the 3rd brake light from your factory wing? And if so, was it difficult to do? I have read of people breaking/cracking the light while trying to remove it.

Yes I did pull it and yes I did break it ! The light unit has a spring loaded clip either end where most people go wrong I suspect is they try to lever it out however you need to push it left or right to compress the spring at one end then it should clear

Cheers

Congrats looks great I also added the Oem aero kit wing once my turbo wing took a dump which is enevitable, you should check out the GT2 side skirts there pretty cheap & make a nice subtle difference.

Your car is a belter (Scottish phrase ) I had intended fitting the GT2 skirts however mission creep over the winter including rads, brakes, tyres exhaust meant they dropped off the list however on my radar to do at some point my next job is to pull the PCM and fit a kenwood 8019.

cheers

Thanks for the tip! Sounds like it goes on like a lot of sidemarkers/reflectors in other cars. Push sideways, compress spring and pop out one side then the other.

Will remember that when I do me Aero wing!
