Seattle Area 997.2TT Exhaust

Hi! Anyone in Seattle area available to show off their 997.2TT exhaust?

Happy owner of a new to me Stock 997.2 Turbo PDK. Looking to urgently get an Exhaust installed to improve driving experience. I've spent countless hours Youtube, reviews, and rennlist/6speedonline focums for 997.2TT exhausts.

Currently considering these, but open to others also.I'm coming from a loud Stage 2+ B8.5 S4 2013. I really need to get an exhaust on this 997.2 ASAP... before I fall asleep driving....

I have that Fabspeed exhaust, but I have race cats. I’m also a 997.1TT - it’s pretty loud but I’ve now gotten used to it and enjoy it.

I have a 997.1TT MT with Kline headers and exhaust with the 100 cell cats and Fabspeed tips in downtown Seattle. Car sounds perfect. Strongly suggest headers merely for the sound.. Suggest you talk to SamboTT@ByDesign and go Kline, but Fabspeed is a great option too. Once exotics at redmond town center starts up again I'm happy to meet you there.

I'd skip the Fabspeed as it will cause limitations sooner than later due to how their X-pipe design limits flow. I'd look at Kline, ES/AIM, Proto, or Soul.

Seeing as we're all in Seattle, we should meet up when the craziness of 2020 subsides.

We offer a great FULL 3" system that customers love. The 997.2TT has a very quiet motor and our full 3" X-Pipe system w/ Dual 3" Tips would be a great option toward achieving your sound goals. If you have time, check out our testimonials page for 997.2TT reviews. Some good feedback.

Had issues with a fab speed exhaust on a 996tt. It was a little too loud for my taste, and it had a droning problem. Currently have a 997TT with a Kline exhaust and am pleased with the sound and it does not have any drone. Biggest concern with aftermarket exhaust would be any droning.

It drove me crazy.

Don't waste your money on the fabstuff unless you like lots of drone and headaches. Plus they offer terrible customer service and support from my experience. John at Speedtech is an honest person who makes a high quality product that he stands behind. YouTube videos don't sound like it does in the car. Take your time and listen to the actual exhausts you are considering. Then you won't end up buying 4 different exhausts like some of us. I ended up with the Europipe. Stef is fantastic to work with!!!

Hey John, I found this thread which has lots of good sound clips.
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...3-tips-13.html
The 3.0 sounds insane!!! I don't think I'll go Catless, really want to avoid the smell. What's the sound diff and loudness between catless vs HJS catted 3.0.

The catless is extremely aggressive. Catted is a tamer version that I would term aggressive vs. extremely aggressive for the catless. IMO, you would not be disappointed with the catted system - it sounds fantastic and makes all the right sounds, transforming the driving experience to a much higher level of personal enjoyment. I love the HJS catted sound characteristics and from my experience, it will make you enjoy driving the car a lot more.

I'm running the full Fabspeed catless setup on my 997.1TT. I don't really notice any droning. It's pretty loud driving normally. It's very very loud when you go WOT.

I have a 997.1 TT and picked up a used AWE Gen 1 exhaust. It isn't loud at cruising speeds, but has a deeper, richer sound. I created a before and after clip:

I have noticed that the turbo lag is pretty much gone with the 200 Cell free flow cats.
