Been a lurker for a while and just wanted to formally introduce myself. Currently driving and modding my CTT. Other than putting tires on my wheels, I've installed most of the mods and do my own maintenance/upkeep. Wanted to share a few photos and current mods. Enjoy!

Reason: Added to the list of parts
Very clean and I love black. Where did you get the side markers and how did you do the black rear emblems, I am wanting to do that for my 2014 CTT (Mahogany Metallic) but cannot decide if I should plasti dip them or just replace with black ones (leaning toward replacement). I have a set of black Victor Engineering Badens coming on Thursday in the 22x10.5 (+56 offset and 5mm spacers) and installing the adjustable air suspension links, as well. BTW, we need a sound clip of that exhaust :-) Living in Alabama it will not be too likely that I hear you drive by, haha
I bought the side markers from suncoast, but I just got in some dark smoked side markers with a white LED instead of the orange LED. It should make the front look a tad more aggressive.
In regards to the emblems, I also debated on buying new black emblems, dip or paint them. I ended up painting them (primer, sand, paint) using gloss black paint. I believe the OEM emblems are only matte (but I could be wrong). I like the gloss so I painted it myself...I also couldn't stomach paying that much for emblems. Lol.
VE Badens are going to look awesome on your CTT (and way easier to clean - I'm kind of jealous). What tires size are you planning on getting? That alone was a big ordeal for me because I pushed my wheels out as far as I could take it. I had to buy 285's to clear the fenders when in the loading setting.
Thanks for the clip, it does sound awesome, as well. I had been debating on the matte vs glossy, mine has the black out trim like yours so the matte emblems might look out of place. I just ordered a set of smoked side marker lights too, agree on the more aggressive look. I have 315/30s on the way so we shall see how tight it gets. Did you remove the emblems to paint or mask off and paint on car? I did find a set of glossy OEM emblems but @$460/set I thought better of that, I have an exhaust to save up for :-)

I'm like you, I definitely muddle over the smallest details spending countless hours debating over and over lol. So I definitely feel you on this decision. I'll definitely spend money on quality parts such as exhaust, tunes, etc, but emblems...I can't lol. I remember buying 2 large cup holders just so I can prevent my sodas from spilling. It was a little over $100 for both of them (seriously though, why would I need to buy "taller" cup holders). I definitely was scratching my head as to why that had to cost that much (oh, wait...the porsche tax).
For the emblems, I ended up completely removing all the badging. I would definitely NOT paint on the car. I basically taped up the whole back to make sure I knew exactly where the emblems would go after I removed them. I used dental floss to "cut" through the adhesive to remove the emblems.
Clean everything up with Goo-gone (emblems and from the trunk). Just soak the glue with the goo-gone every 10-15min for about an hour. The adhesive should have dissolved enough to easily remove with an exact-o knife or even a toothpick.
Below is the final gloss black wet coat. I did 2 light coats of primer, 15 min apart, then one "wet coat" of primer and let it sit for about 2hrs. I sanded it lightly with ultra fine grit sand paper. Then I repeated the process for the actual gloss paint. 2 light gloss black coats 15 min apart, then one "wet coat", but I let that sit overnight. Come the morning, I was able to polish them. They came out perfect. Just some tips:
1. Put the double-sided tape you plan on using before you primer and paint (makes everything easier to handle)
2. Try to paint in a clean area. One of the letters got some dust so I actually sanded it back to the chrome and redid it.
As for the side markers, I'm currently running the white ones (LED). However, when on, they light up orange. I hate it. The smoked ones I got light up white (LED).
I'm also waiting on this all-black crest I ordered. Debating if I should shoot it with glass black or if I'll let this one go as matte. I've actually not seen it in person so I guess I'll make that decision once I test fit it on the hood.
Please do share photos of a 315/30 tire on a 10.5 wide wheel! I thought 300 was a lot! I did so much research and read up on different experiences from people. Please let me know if there is any rubbing or what not.
WOW!! That is awesome information!! 1. It is amazing I just ordered the black crest exactly as you have pictured and was wondering if the matte was going to get lost on the hood, haha...ah the details that we wonder about and ponder, but you having already done the emblems has relieved some of my stressing over the details of that mod and 2. a great relief that you have actually done what I was thinking about...blue masking tape to ensure proper replacement after removal and the dental floss is a great idea too that I had not yet discovered!! 3. The gloss black on the emblems looks amazing!! Mind sharing your paint choice??
I finally pulled the trigger last week and ordered the wheels and tires after months of research and internet picture browsing. The original thought was to just refinish my stock forged black 21x10s after having a few too many scratches and paint chips to the wheels than I could stand, I am still going to refinish them to have a backup set, haha...So this way I get both (I like options!). My thinking on the wheels is this, the stock size I have is 295/35-21 so moving to a 315 is only a 20 mm increase in width and increasing the wheel size .5" gives me 12.7 mm more, so in reality the balloon effect (which I hate) by installing tires significantly wider than the wheel is less than 4 mm per side, so negligible. The additional positive offset of the Baden of 6 mm over stock and the 5 mm spacers nets me 1 mm more clearance on the inside (with respect to bone stock) and pushes the exterior plane of the tire out 21 mm (~13/16") further out. The lower aspect ratio of 30 also nets me only a 0.3" increase in diameter over stock so netting an ever so slight increase of 4 mm closer to the wheel well/fender lip even with the increase from 21 to 22 in wheel diameter. So all that to say I can't wait to get it all together and start playing with the height adjustments :-) I will definitely share pictures!! BTW, for whatever reason the trunk lip on mine is a satin stainless steel look so I will be peeling that off too and painting it black too, it has an alignment tab and edges to align to so hoping re-installation will be less tedious than the emblems. Again, thanks so much for the information, always great to see "mods in action"!!

Ha! That's . Great minds think alike. One thing I considered for the wheel/tire set up is if I want it to look good parked or driving, I chose parked. This is how far the wheels go (there is some slight cambering on the back wheels).
I have maybe only about 5mm before the front and back wheels touch the fender (this is in the loading position). I usually drive in "low" and the wheels slightly bulge out a bit when I raise it to that setting. I think that's as far as I'd take it otherwise it'll look goofy. I don't think you should have any issues rubbing. Excited to see your results.
