Camera Mount for 997TT?

Anyone have any recommendations for a camera mount solution for the TT? I need something to mount a medium sized video camera (Sony HDR-SR1).

I'm looking for something that works on a stock car (not something that needs a harness bar).

I have the adaptive sport seats if that matters (i.e., no headrest bars to mount to).

Any recommendations?

I am going to finish my break-in period on the track at Reno-Fernley in a couple of weeks and want to document the occassion for posterity.

Without a rollcage its going to be a bit hard to find a proper mounting place in the car. Your best bet would be a External Camera Mount like this one:

I suggest you pick up a Hoyttech AutoXcam and use that to do the recording. I have mounted a couple outside the car on track days and its quite easy to use.

I am looking into the same thing. Many driving events absolutely forbid externally mounted cameras other than a bullet cam.

Hama universal, works great, not sure if they will let you run w/ it though, its secure but if you crash this will fly.

Ha ha. I figured that out and bought a Hama suction mount from them. Good guys.

I tried it on rear window and it worked for about 15 minutes on track, then fell down. I need to experiment with cleaning/prepping the window and the cup. Also, my camera is kind of bid (Sony HC1), so that doesn't help.

I have the window mount one as well. Works only on clean glass, the lighter the camera the better. I've used it exclusively at the glenn in 20min + sessions, no issues once the glass is clean.
