A couple Vantage questions

1. When do you think Vantage prices will hit mid 80's?
2. Are there many mods out there for the Vantage yet, namely exhaust system? Any clips?

Thinking about moving out of my 996 Turbo into either a 997 GT3 or Vantage. Thanks!

They will most likely be dropping a little bit more (hopefully in the mid 80s) when the 2009 models come out which supposedly will have more hp and some other changes. I saw a 2007 with 10k miles sell for 84k at an auction not too long ago.

You can probably get an 06 in the mid 80's if you shop hard. There are several advertised in the high 80's.

The lowest Ive seen is high $80's and low $90's. As far as mods, I know of a few different brands.

There are various exhausts, the preferred ones are Tubi and Quicksilver.

Prices will continue to drop on the used ones. Especially 06 /07

This is because there are numerous improvements on the 08 and 09 (some minor cosmetic changes inside and out (08)) and lots of new options (sports pack (09))

larini, quicksilver, bb, and tubi make exhaust. Several companies are working on ecu upgrades. I am selling my 996tt (03) and getting an 09 vantage, and will wait and see what the new changes are before modding.

I'm actually thinking about doing the same. I'm between a 997 GT3 and an 06-07 Vantage. I thought that Aston was bringing in a whole new Vantage for 09, the V12 RS no?

Latest news regarding Aston Martin:

The V12 RS will be more than 250k USD it will cost MORE! than the DBS and will be limited to around 100 examples. This is because it features an engine that is descended from the DB9R race model, not just a regular V12.

* MY09 V8 Vantage will feature a sport pack option, word on the street is that there will be NO power upgrade.

* MY09 DB9 gets a new interior a la the DBS (centre console revised) and also a small power hike +40HP.

All this info comes from www.amoc.org and is very reliable. It will be a pleasant surprise if the V8 vantage gets a power upgrade for 09 but it is very unlikely.

Also relevant, MY09 is coming early for Aston Martin this year, You will see 09s on dealer lots as early as May.

I'm inclined to agree now pratt. Especially due to the new info from the blogs and amoc.org

Hopefully this will be called "Vantage S"

Sold my '03 996 tt (lot's of TechArt mods - 550 HP) and purchased a '07 Vantage ... loving the move and the car. 380 vs 550 HP is OK ... 550 was really only used at the track ... just too much traffic and why risk someone else's life ... I am not getting older ... just a little smarter ...

I would think that lower sale prices than current will only happen if (a) higher miles or not the greatest condition or not well maintained & (b) warranty expiration so probably late 09 to 2010 since 83 cars came to the US in 2006 most cars started to come in the last quarter of 2006 as 2007 models

Spoken like a true salesman.

From what I am seeing, the value of all Astons are falling like rocks through water (including my DB9).

This one on Ebay is a 07 with under 3k miles for $89k.
