Piano Black vs. Mahogany Trim...

After finally figuring out that I'm going with the DB9 I have to decide how to configure the car. I am set on meteorite for the exterior and either sahara, kestrel or red fox for the interior. I am not sure whether to go with piano black or mahogany for the trim. I have a photo of the car I drove yesterday. It had a Ferrari Light Tan interior with obsidian carpets and headliner, and mahogany dash and door trim:

I also photoshopped (poorly) a sandstorm interior to get closer to sahara/kestrel and added the black headliner (a little rough around the edge - sorry). This car had the piano black dash and door trim:

Any thoughts?

Here are some pics of Meteorite w/ Red Fox & Phantom Grey

Also, see this thread:

The interior actually looks better in person than in the pics.

I personally like the piano black better in your pics.

I would do Piano Black and not do the door caps; leave them leather.

I thought about the door caps, as they will be an area of traffic and potentially get scratched. This wouldn't be a problem with mahogany. I need to check the aston configurator to see if by leaving the upper trim on the door leather it would still be black to create a continous border into the headliner.

I love piano but I am already noticing very light scratches. Love the look but is there any way to get rid of the scratches?

Piano black looks better with the black dash elements.

What dealer are you working with?

I'm working with Steve at Catena. He has been very helpful with the whole process thus far.

Blah, I despise black interiors when you can have such beautiful veneers & wood from Aston. Granted the piano black is nice but you can't see it. It's just....black. No character, too plain, go mahogany!
