Being a Brit I have a soft spot for those but honestly I know of a few folks that do/have had them. Not exactly reliable;( Wonderful to look at though.

Friend of mine picked one up 3yrs ago. Had issues with the transmission a week after purchase that was about it. He still has the car and it is damn sexy.

Make sure you drive one first and see if the tranny is to your liking. It was/is the Achillie's heel in another great Aston...

I keep reading that these cars have problems with the transmission.

What I have heard is that they need to be put into nuetral at stoplights, that manual transmissions are hard to come by.

Is that it?

I don't know about putting the car in neutral, but any manual you come across was probably and hopefully a factory conversion. I was told by the dealer, so take that at face value, they actually had a team from the factory come here and do it. I've seen only one that way and I'm sure many years from now it will be THE one to own.

The nuetral thing is a myth. Just leave the car in gear and depress the brake. Basically the same tranny as Ferrari's F1. Red Devil is correct regarding the manual conversion which can be completed to any MY Vanquish 02-06.
