The link took me to a thread about motor oil. Can you repost? I have the same problem. I also notice that my key fob doesn't have very good range and sometimes I need to press the button several times or be very close to the car.

Thanks! So basically it's a known problem and I'll have to go to the dealer and have them fix it?

I had a similar problem of having to press the FOB many time or get close to the car to unlock. The dealer just gave me a new FOB under warranty. Looking back, I should have replaced the battery first.

I had a similar issue with my '06 Vantage as far as remote locking range. Even after replacing the battery, it just would not lock unless I was close to the car. It seems to be better with the DBS but still not great.

I found that by either clicking the lock button twice or holding it down longer that it locks the passenger door. But I still find myself having to check it each time which is an inconvenience.

Locked, but not really

My dealership technician diagnosed the same lock issue on my car as described by 007 in his original post, above. Using his AM computer he determined multiple fault codes had been trigered by a module in the driver's door. Replacement took less than an hour.

I've had intermittent problems with this, to the point where I couldn't even lock my door using the key in the door. When I would push lock on the fob it would lock and then unlock...I could do this repeatedly and it would never stay locked. Then I would use the key in the door and it still would unlock for several tries before finally locking. But I think I finally have it fixed.

I changed the settings to turn on light flash with door lock and turned off the automatic door locking when you drive away.

Since then, no problems...the car locks first try with the key fob. I wonder if the light flashing stops whatever short in the circuit that was causing it to unlock. I don't know, but it's nice to have it working properly.
