Running with the bulls . . .
Running with the bulls . . .
Hey all,
This weekend I had an opportunity to go for a mountain drive with a bunch of other customers of my local AM dealership. The dealer is also an official Lamborghini dealer so most of the other cars in the group (+/- 15 cars) were either Gallardos or Murcielagos.
I haven't had an opportunity to go through all the pics or videos yet, but I just wanted to share that the V12 Vantage performed brilliantly. I was able to keep up with the fastest drivers of the group through the twisties and the straights. I was really impressed by the car, as were several of the Lambo guys who were surprised to see the "bond car" hold its own against their Italian exotics. Most impressive to me was the way the car tracked around tight turns at speed. There were several times where I thought the car was going to understeer into the oncoming lane, but it never happened -- the car drove like it was on rails. I'm sure some of the credit goes to the sticky PZero Corsas.
Also in the group was a 4.7 Vantage roadster driven by a fellow 6speeder. The 4.7 also did a good job in relation to its peers, which was also impressive. We all had a great time and plan on doing this again soon. Before then, I will plan on having a dash-mounted camera ready to capture the action better. Although it's a bit bouncy, I will post a video that my girlfriend captured using my DSLR. Can anyone tell me the best way to upload video to this site? Thanks.
Cheers

Thats cool! most of my car millage is from trips like that and belive it or not my car feels faster after those kind of trips.
I think the best way to upload videos are from youtube and then just post the link where you uploaded the video.( i guess you have to sign in to youtube first )

Not just psychological ... if you push the car hard for extended periods the ECU will begin to adapt/adjust to more aggressive driving settings and you will actually gain power output .... that is until you get back on city streets and start driving normal again. The extra boost is fun but short lived unfortunately.
Yep.
Okay, thanks RP. I'll give that a try.
Forgot to mention that the throttle response with the sport button on is awesome!!! Transforms the car to a complete animal when you're driving aggressively.

The car looks great on the side of that hill. The sun really loves it. I have a friend with Lambos and he was very impressed with the V12 when he drove it. I like lambos but I have to say seeing your car next to them makes me really appreciate how good looking these cars really are.
