Db9 question

Hello everyone and thanks for taking a look. I recently purchased a slightly used 05 DB9 and I absolutely love it!

My question is regarding the factory HID head lights. I want to replace the bulb to a higher kelvin to change the look to a more bluish tint. This is simply for a costmetic change..the factory headlights are working just fine. I was just someone out there could confirm that the OEM HID bulb is a type "D1S" ??

Is replacing the bulb as straight forward as it seems? I pulled the little cover off located in the wheel well that allows access the back of the lamp assembly. Then removed the rubber plug in the back and can see the bulb itself. Is there anything tricky about removing it?? It looks like a tight squeeze to get it out.

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks in advance. Eric

Sportie is infamous around these parts
The service manual lists the dipped bulb as a D1S 35w and main beam a H9. hope this helps?
