They definitely have fun and many of them do it every year. Perhaps in a few years when they do a complete European Gumball, I might be tempted to join (where I don't have to worry about points coming off the drivers license every 30 minutes
)There where many many more cars that rolled in which I didn't capture, but hopefully this video from Autogespot shows you a better representation.
Here's are some pics I found on various forums (not my pictures)

For those of us old enough to remember (Me!) the original "Gumball" was run in the early 1970s, cost nothing to enter, you could drive anything you wanted (one team drove a Travco motorhome, and one guy was on a motorcycle). It ran from New York to near Los Angeles, and the only rule was whoever did it in the shortest time won. The original had the somewhat cumbersome name of "The Cannon-ball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash". Also as I recall, one team of 3-4 Harvard students wanted to enter but had no car. They answered an ad for a guy who wanted his new Cadillac driven from the East to Los Angeles area. The guys had to sign an agreement they would not drive over the speed limit and would not drive at night, and they posted $100 to guarantee that. Thirty-five hours later they called the guy to tell him his car was in Los Angeles--and forfeited their guarantee ;-} Fun Stuff.
Was there in Toronto on the grid but not with the Aventador. here are are few of my pictures and an intro video. Amazing event. I will have to do soon.

I remember when this thing was being run from DC to LA ... Apparently they go from checkpoint to checkpoint driving thru the day and then party at night... Lol running from the cops and causing havoc on the highway seems to be par for the course...
