Was thinking of a new idea...
Inspired by Racer_X's thinking outside of the box and trying something fun with his stripes, I was thinking of getting a Euro style tag for the front of my DB9...
My thoughts were:
(1) The GB crest w/flag on the far left then the letters "AM" then two circle crests followed by the letters "DB9" ...
OR....
(2) maybe do Euro tag with a Maryland State crest and my actual MD tag numbers accross the Euro tag...?? if possible throw in the GB crest w/flag somewhere in there
nothing cheesey just a bit more Euro style...was thinking to either have the Euro tag simply as a sticker or as a plate (mounted with double sided tape or a Euro mounting bracket)
what do you guys think? Good idea, bad idea? leave it the way it is? try it? if so which of the above two or maybe you have some other suggestions?

As is. I hate the fact that I've got to have a plate on the front of mine -- I really like the clean look that you've got right now (wish I could get away with it) and would hate to see it cluttered up with anything even remotely like a plate. A tasteful stripe is one thing, a jumble of letters/numbers/symbols just wouldn't seem right.
I'm with yvr on this one. Many Brits begrudge the fact they have to use a front plate and ruin the clean lines on one of the most beautiful cars in the world. Why voluntarily do what so many would love to do without?
Wow seems like nobody likes the front plate idea, looks pretty good on German cars....a lot of BMW, Porsche and Vdubs in the US rock that look, makes for a very Euro appearance...maybe not so much popular on british cars?
The lines on the front are just so gorgeous. I kept the front plate off mine for a month until I got a ticket and then caved and reinstalled the AM plate kit, which is quite functional and does not damage the car or require you to drill any holes but looks like an adminstrative wart on the otherwise spectacular front end nevertheless. Would totally run with no plate if I didn't have to worry about getting pulled over.
As an aside, a tech I was talking to mentioned that some people have a copy of their plate done in vinyl and affixed to the bumper. It's not legal but often passes casual scrutiny apparently. Dunno is that would be any better for those of us who have to run with a plate but don't want the mount covering the grill (and partly obstructing the air intake). I would definitely be ugly, just not sure if it would be relatively more or less ugly. It's a thought anyway.

It's OK and will look good, if....
1) It can't be any taller than the central bumper bar (maybe just a smidge).
2) It needs to be placed directly on the bumper bar (no plate holder)
3) It needs to conform to the curve of the bumper bar (straight plate is NG)
4) You use the right plate background color and letter/number colors for your car
If you can meet all 4 requirements, it'll look good.
I've got euro style plates on the front of my XJR-S's and I use the same number as my real plate. They look good on the Jag and I have to put something there because there'd be a blank spot with mounting holes which would look worse than no plate at all.
Of course, in the case of the DB9, you don't have those unsightly mounting brackets, so you can go either way.

I agree with you V8 guys, but Sunir has a DB9. They look completely different because of the nice, flat central bumper bar that you V8 guys don't have. It is a perfect place for a Euro plate.
This is a case where V8 and DB9 differences result in a completely different aesthetic regarding Euro style plates.

I was trying to find the SD card where I have the photos stored, but I realised most of them were in this Video. He managed to find a less intrusive solution for the front plate. BC is very strict about plates.
