Blacked out tails?
Hello All,
Before I took delivery, I told myself I would leave the car stock for at least a couple of months. Its been a week and Im already getting what I call "The Itch"
That being said, has anyone here blacked out their tail lights? I was wondering what it would look like on a Tungsten v8v. If the car was black it would be a no brainer, but I'm hesitating doing it on my tungsten, same with the rims actually. Ive been asking friends and family what they think but the consensus is that it would "cheapen" the car. Im not convinced.
Ive got an appointment to limo tint the windows tomorrow and considering them just blacking out all the lights on the back while they're at it. Any thoughts?
Also, if anyone has any pics that would be a huge help, Im having trouble finding any online or on the forums.
Thanks in advance

perhaps purchasing a set of graphite tail pipes would help with your itch, at least for the time being...you can see how it looks on the N420 models. i'll also post pics once my exhaust gets installed (graphite tail pipes came with).

They became "ricey" when ever aftermarket parts firms sold them for every single model ever made

They still look great on the AM
OP step away from the blacked out lights
I don't think anyone does clear tails like Aston, with the color matched centerblade and the way the LED tail lights are, they are not cheesy they look ultra modern, chic and sophisticated. They just go with the rest of the car perfectly. No other manufacturer got it this right as far as OE on their cars, and the aftermarket has it all wrong altogether! lol
I tend to agree with the majority. I've never liked the blacked-out look, but tinting in the body color can look pretty cool. I thought about doing mine (quantum silver DBS Volante), but ultimately decided against it. I was also going to tint the side marker lights (which ought to be clear instead of amber and red).
I will, however, point out that the final 100 limited production DBSs had tinted tail lamps from the factory.
