I tried, and failed, to get Fuse 22 out of my fuse box ('09 DB9). Even a fuse puller couldn't grab onto it strong enough to get it out without the puller slipping off.

Something kept telling me that over-doing it may result in a damaged fuse box, so I gave up. Maybe the vacuum hose trick is the best one.

The '13 Boxster S is much better than the prior model (looks and performance). It handles like it is on rails. I went a bit overboard with options (about $30k in extras), but it is a one of a kind car that I configured for the mrs. It is still masculine enough that I don't mind taking it for a spin. I have driven a Boxster S on the track. The PDK really shows its colors on the track when it knows when to shift instantly (especially the downshifts on hard braking). Different type of experience than the AM, but fun in its own way.

Jeff,
Yeah, it was a little disconcerting for me when I couldn't get a regular fuse puller to work. Try a small pair of long-nose pliers. Works a treat every time

You might presume that
I very soon found myself switching Sport off round town as the throttle response is too quick and you end up with a jerky ride.
So I leave the fuse pulled and use sport for "hooning"

Yes, but the Sport button also changes to a different throttle map which may make it more sensitive when trying to maneuver around town.

ETA: Ha! Just saw Mikey's response. Great minds and all that...

Best solution IMO is to install a remote switch to control the exhaust valves. I have mine set up so that the default position is valves open. I can close them with the touch of a button when I want to be more stealthy or want to be able to hear other things better (like talk radio or my passenger).

The following is a link to the solution I used. No need to cut up the car or run any wires into the cabin. All you do is connect an inexpensive control until to the fuse box in the trunk.

Hey Jason, I did it. It was really easy. I can show you my install. As it says later in that thread, you'll want to be sure to add a fuse to the circuit.
