Fuel type

There is a gas station next to my office that offer race fuel and every one in a wile i would fill up to have some cleaner fuel in there( in my mind anyway)

Any thoughts about doing it for my v8vs?

You are wasting your money. These cars only need premium fuel.

Yep, a car must be tuned to use a race fuel.

The ECU in the V8 is able adjust ignition for Octane rating (unlike the none Vanquish V12)
Not sure it would have been set up to benefit from "race fuel" though
And IME higher Octane fuel makes little or no difference to the performance of my S

So what octane rating do i need to use?

Also does anyone know where you can download an owner manual? my car did not come with one.

Race fuel not needed, premium fuel 93 octane is fine for road going astons

I don't know where you can download an owner's manual, but you must get the hard copy regardless -- it's a beautiful thing itself.

I didn’t realize that the newer Astons had knock sensors but that certainly would allow the ECU to adjust timing for different fuels. However, I can’t image a factory ECU allowing the timing to advance enough to take advantage of a ‘race fuel.’ It’s more of a safety feature, than a performance feature.

Go to www.astonmartintechinfo.com -- it costs about $100 for a 24 hour subscription last time I was there. You can download all the pdf manuals in about an hour.

V8 has had it from day one
V12 has just gained it in the new Vanquish
You will see that engine migrating across the range

It state 93 , but we dont have 93.
