Code P2800
Also, went for a ride in the car after clearing the code to see if it would pop up. Half way back I saw a red light flash on my dash for a brief second. It popped up again when I was looking at it, luckily to see what it was. (maybe not so lucky)
The light was for Low Engine Coolant Level. ON and Off. I think this happened one time before when I was reversing but didn't catch what it said.
Is my car electronically falling apart?? Anybody hear or see anything like this before?
Sigh...
Okay. See that to put distilled water in to top off from previous posts. Feeling a little better.

There could be several reasons for P2800. The code is caused by a voltage difference seen on the PRND buttons when there pressed. The slightest voltage difference can set the code. Giving the fact your car is a 05 new buttons and what is called a shift by wire module may be needed. They update the buttons to a three contact type instead of a two contact type. A ECM software update may also be needed. You may also need to check the grounds for the ECM as they may be dirty.
Thanks AMFixer.
Follow up question. Best place to find the buttons? Watch AstonMartinBits.com and other sources?

I would just be careful buy used parts. Don't want to get older buttons and still have the same issue. If your good with a multi meter I could tell you what to check to figure out what it is.
HI AM fixed
I have P2800 code too, I have been intermittently having issues with buttons not working, i removed them and cleaned them and it worked for a while, but at that time i did not have P2800 code, I also have P1712, P0483 code.
Would greatly appreciate you input. I do have separate post about these codes, you could reply there too.
Thanks.
