With any luck I'll soon be joining the exclusive V12owners Club. I found the perfect car (although I'd prefer red calipers).... Wish me luck. I doubt I'll sleep well tonight. I should know by tomorrow.

I'd love to swap out my red calipers for some silver or gray ones....I think the V12 uses different brakes but am not 100 % sure. Exciting news! Post photos of the new ride....

What? No, the red calipers are such a sweet touch. They accentuate the reds in the tail lights and markers.

Yes, yes & yes. I'd make that swap in a heart-beat. The calipers that come with the car I'm trying to buy are black. I'll contact you if this deal comes together. I'd be willing to drive to your authorized dealer provided you pay for the swap. I would only have an authorized AM dealer do the work. Fingers are crossed... & yes, I kept waking up last night.

I have a black carbon edition V12, came with silver/grey calipers. I think it suits the car better. There is so much going on visually with all the carbon vents etc.

Either way congrats!!

Congrats! I agree with BP, the car doesn't need red calipers as an accent. I wanted red calipers on my last Vantage so I had the stock black calipers repainted. I soon tired of the red though. It's a look that has been done, overdone perhaps.

I hope the deal goes through for you. good luck!

Note the V12V brakes are larger than the standard V8V ... and they are carbon ceramic, so a swap of just the calipers will not work. I have a Magma Red V12 and the black calipers work really well with it.

again, good luck and hopefully we will see some pics of the new machine soon.

UPDATE: V12 NOT GOING TO HAPPEN (UGH)... I'm close to a deal on a Vantage S though. (with red calipers!). I have to credit Aston Martin Washington DC. The sales guy Mehdi is a tenacious deal maker. He never considered "no" as an option. Admittedly he wore me down but in a very professional, nice way. My guess is that while I'll regret not having the V12, after minor modifications I'll have the power to weight ratio exactly where I want it to be. & yes, I'll post some photos.

If you really want a V12, they have not one, but (2) 2012 Virages that are new that have been on the lot forever at AM of Washington. One of them they wrapped in a hideous orange matte vinyl in an attempt to sell it (all it needs is a 'taxi' sign on the roof and it would blend right in with the cabs around here). I know Pieter would deal-deal-deal on those two Virages to move them off the lot, I've seen them make some wild deals on aged inventory on the lot. I know, a Virage is not a Vantage, but it does have the V12!

The green one!?
Hey, there are those who'd say that the S is the perfect Vantage. It's certainly no slouch. And it does have a prettier hood (sorry guys, those crabon fibre louver panels look aftermarket and over wrought, and yes, I know they are functional).

Nice choice with the racing green. Tan interior? My 911 was racing green/tan interior as well and loved it. Surprised it's not more common. Post some pics. And congrats again for the upgrade. Now in several years you can get a v12 s
