Anyone added N400 sills aftermarket?
I am hesitant to buy factory side sills and take it to a body shop to paint and match on a v8 vantage. The color is called lightning silver. Usually I like everything to come from the dealer but I found one that has everything but the sills. Anyone ever buy a car and install/paint the sills afterwards? Is paint hard to match? What paint does AM use?

All paint and body work done in the US is done by a body shop. Aston Martin doesn't have any facilities in the US. They do have specifically approved shops (or at least recommended/endorsed shops). Ask your local dealer, or get in touch with a regional rep for AML (this is what I did when my V8V needed body repair after it was hit).

Lightening Silver can be a PITA to match
It is one of the colours that is still hand painted at the factory because it needs a human eye to get the flip colouring in the lacquer right
A good body shop should be able to match to the car rather than the paint code
Plenty of people have retrofitted the sills

Why did 2009 models not have any sills? I notice 2010 and newer usually have sills. Were they not available in the 09 years?
I've been quoted $2-3k for paint and install in California. Sounds high.

Sorry typo MY12.25
This was when they added the plastic versions of the V12/S bumpers etc
These are the optional sport pack wheels as well

Hey all, after calling around, it seems like it's going to be too much money and hassle to procure sills and paint and install. I'd rather just wait for a 2010 or 2011 coupe that already has them painted from the factory and already installed. The issue is my appreciation for the 5 spoke rims, which seem like they didn't have on the 2010 and 2011. Don't like the 2012 refresh with the plastic bumpers so my choices are limited to 2010 and 2011 years. However I just did a search on cars.com for 2010 and 2011 v8v coupes, and it looks they changed sport pack rims to these 10 spoke one's in 2010+. The standard wheels are these V spoke one's (not a fan) looks like it's hard to find any 5 spoke sports rims on 2010 and 2011years.
