Aston Opticoat

I decided to get my Aston opticated to protect it from the natural elements and give it an extra layer of protection.

I think it looks fantastic, while it is no protection against rock chips (one of my biggest concerns) the car looks fantastic and is more resistant to potential natural elements (bird droppings, acid rain etc).

I havent seen much on this forum about opticoat but it is potentially a great investment without going overboard.

Is this similar to CQuartz Ceramic paint coating? Looks great and should provide a little piece of mind!

Yes, this is a very detailed comparison. The life of Opticoat is 5 years.

Thanks for the link. I fully plan to invest in one of these coatings for my next car. Looks to me like it'd make a huge difference for darker colors!

I did consider it, but didn't have the budget to invest in it.

Its an 07, and I may only keep it for a year before hopefully going for a v12v or 430.
