I ordered the "comfort" suspension which is a no-cost option instead of the standard sport suspension.

 

Interesting. How did you make that call? Are both specs something that you've experienced? Since a "sport" suspension option went a way a few MYs ago, what is what now?

Suspension is the main thing driving me out of my current Vantage but I'm often unsure of what's what when a "comfort" option is out there.

Compared to whats on the showroom floor right now, which has the comfort, which the sport?

 

Comfort in a Vantage can be spelled...Michelin Pilot Super Sport

 

I know everybody says that. But I've driven '11 Vantages and a '13 V8VS, all with the OEM tires. The vast difference in suspension suppleness, precision and refinement did not come from the tires.

While I'm sure the SSs are great, comfy tires, the suspension hardware makes the first difference.

Now, back to talking about Karl's new car!

 

No cars at the showroom right now have the sport suspension. I have never driven one with it. I put a poll on Pistonheads and asked for opinions. Overall, i got the impression that, for my needs/driving style, a comfort suspension would be a better choice.

 

I drive an 09 with the sports package and if it's the same suspension... is not uncomfortable. It is on the hard side though... harder than the M3 I used to drive for sure. Not nearly as bad as a cooper S. It's my DD and I've got used to it. My old non-sport pack SLK was harder.

 

Man, the waiting is the hardest part. I'm excited to get started on the next set of upgrades. I already have a list.
