Error Code Question - P0705 P0455

When I see the check engine light, for me it makes my heart skip a beat.

The message was the emissions on the dash, and when I got home I got 2 codes; P0705 and P0455. I didn't have any other messages before, is one code tied to the other or completely separate?

Understandable that its hard to say from just reading my message here but I was curious if anybody had this happen before, one code pops another.

Can or should I clear the codes to see if they come back? I have read on here that some people do that for the emissions and it doesn't come back.

Thanks for the input.

Clearing the codes and seeing if they come back would be ok.

P0705 is Transmission Range Sensor...

P0455 is Evaporative Leak...

Question: How old is your battery???

Pretty sure I've never changed it. Don't have my paperwork as my office is being remodeled.

So ... its from 05...

Well, the reason I ask is that those are such disparate codes it made me think about the battery. Sometimes a battery starting to fail will cause really crazy codes or weird things to happen.

It was just a thought...you can get the battery checked for free at several places.
