An Aston Martin as a "pick up" device.

Errr, is that because you're 007?

I agree, honestly, most people don't know what an Aston Martin is, you'll probably get a lot of, is that a Ford? If you care, SLK will pick up a lot of chicks, if that is what you got your car for. I've been asked, "Is the passenger seat taken," "Can I ride in your car," "Do you have a gf," I'd even had a gay skinny black dude with half of a shirt on walking his poodle, asking me for a ride. lol In my 4.5 years with the 911, I've only had one girl asked me if mine had a turbo.

I never understood the line of reasoning behind that. If I'm in a bar or out at a function, no one knows what kind of car I drive. I have tried picking them on the street while I'm driving, but can't slow down enough for them to comprehend me.

Funny you mention this. In Philly, drivers would stop anywhere, turn the hazards on, and walk up to ask not for a number, but to meet at a nearby restaurant in 5 minutes. This has happened to me twice in grad school, walking from the hospital library to my apt along busy 15th. First in a 911 then an Aston. Porsche driver was cute and reliable for a good time. I dated the Aston driver for a few months before my now husband stepped in and won my heart.
