Not (exactly) Aston Martin..

Thanks for the kind words. My first vehicle when I was a kid was an early Bronco and I've always wanted another. As I was shopping over the past couple years, I just couldn't find anything out there that was close enough to what I wanted.. not a lot of really good quality "restorations" around. I would agree with you regarding value, not that it was much of a consideration, but prices on these are really high right now and I think there's lots of upside left.
This was a total frame off re-build. I guess the term for this type of build these days is "Restomod". Everything was totally rebuilt or replaced. Frame and chassis componets sandblasted and powder coated. Engine is a mildly upgraded 351W, aluminum intake, Holley 4bbl carb, headers, etc. Probably around 300hp. Transmission is an old school 3 speed on the floor just like my old beater had. Has a 3" lift kit, 33" Tires on 17" wheels which is a little different for these old trucks. Most are 15" wheels, but I think the 17's give it a more "modern" touch without being tacky. I wanted the interior to remain very stock appearing just totally rebuilt and clean.
The paint was a real challenge. My painter thought I was nuts for spending what I did just to get a paint absolutely genuine "Casino Royale". We could have found something very close for a lot less, but I wanted it to be exactly correct.. I won't be spending much time in the mud with this thing.
It's about 99% done at this point just waiting on some interior panels being finished up at the upholstery shop. I'll post more pictures when it's finally totally complete.
I think it's going to look pretty good in my garage next to my black DB9.

Ironically this one is a 1974.. and I built it for my 40th Bday present to myself as we both turned 40 this year.
Still waiting on door panels and I'll get some interior pics up right away.

Love that Bronco!
Great selection for the engine - 351w. That should sound astonishingly good, and run super-strong. Keep us posted on how it goes.
