Holy decibel reduction Batman!!!

I knew the Quicksilver exhaust was loud, but holy molly, you can hear the sound system now, and the cabin is SO much quieter. Gone is the cranial vibrating drone at 70 - 75 MPH cruising.

The stock exhaust still gets loud when you step on it, but not as loud as the Quicksilver.

 

Do the fuse22 mod!

 

I have yet to do that. That may be the "in between" sound that is best for me.

As I understand it, pulling fuse 22 does not cause the "check engine" light to come on, it just stores a code in the ECU.

 

I pulled the fuse, drove around a while, then put it back. Who needs the constant droning when you're just cruising down the highway.

 

This is true (at least for me)...

Geeze the Quicksilver was "boisterous". It sounded like my car was exploding in my garage every morning.

I leave very early, and my wife is still asleep - at least she was until I got this car a few months ago. Until I put this stock exhaust in whenever I would start the car at 4:30AM, she said it sounded like a canon going off in the garage and would wake her completely.

This and whether to vacation in Palm Springs or the Bahamas...

 

what is coming to America? working??? getting up to leave for work at 4h30.... thats against the law in SA

 

Time to try another exhaust manufacturer or wire a switch in the 22 fuse circuit.

 

I will pull it today just before I head home and experience it for myself.
