Go to navigation.com (used to be navteq). Order the discs for a 2006 Volvo XC90. They work like a charm, and you don't lose the Aston logo on startup.

Just received and installed my updated version...works great, only thing missing is the AM logo on start-up, but we can live with that. Very fast shipping from Navigation.com the discs arrived the next day.

Thanks again vyr with out your help I would have been going in the wrong direction looking for an update, no pun intended

The AM start up logo seems a bit random. Seems to depend on whether Nav was on when you last shut off the car. Have never figured it out and never worry about it.

At least it never says "Volvo"

Does the upgrade change how well it works or just updated maps?

it is early days as I have not had time to use the GPS with the updated program, however I did notice that I could use the joy stick to move around the map and pin point a location and then set as a destination. I have only had the car for a couple of weeks so I am not sure that function was available before...I don't think it was but I could wrong.

once I have put the new update though it's paces I will give you an update

Yvr, Conquerer have you had any issues with changing the trip meters from 1 to 2 and zeroing them, also I cannot change the LED speedo from kilometer to miles even though I follow the manuals instructions. The manual says to use the buttons on the navigation cluster T1 T2 to go from trip 1 to trip 2 and to hold for more than 3 secs to zero, to hold the read button along with the button on the signal stalk to change the trip computor dislpay units, not sure what the read botton does?
PS, the AM logo appeared on the screen!

I never really use the trip meters, but I've accidentally zeroed them while fiddling around.

I do switch between digital MPH and KPH regularly when crossing the border -- hold the button on the signal stalk while pressing and holding the "read" button for about 2-3 seconds. BTW -- this doesn't affect the ODO or trip meters, just the speed display.

Have you got the key in the right position? I usually switch the speedo while the car is idling at the border crossing.

So you did not have to select a system then?

Now you have to select a system and am not sure which one to select.
