The missing nuts/bolts ship today so hopefully I'll have them by Thursday. If so, I can ship the kits out first thing Friday morning. If not, I won't be able to ship until Monday. Regardless, these will be shipping out within a week!

catch can

Got one of the new catch cans installed on my car earlier this week. Looks great and is easy to install and uninstall. I've seen both the first and second run catch cans. The second run is a little sleeker and more direct with the lines. I'll post up a picture.

The hardware arrived and I've got all the kits sorted out. Tomorrow morning I'll be going to the Post Office to get them shipped. I think this is about the worst part of the whole process because I have to fill out a form for every package, and then wait for the clerk to type all of it in (why can't I just do that? so much quicker!).

I ship everything the same - Priority Mail. US shipments should be pretty quick, just a few days. International is listed as 6-10 days.

All the kits have shipped. If anyone needs a tracking number, please PM me and I'll try to get it to you in the next day or two. I'm still super swamped and I'll be out of town all day tomorrow (Supercars on State Street in Harrisburg PA) but I'll do what I can.

Telum01, I posted in the original thread before seeing this new one. I'm interested in a kit. Please let me know about availability. (I'm hoping I didn't miss this round.)

I've got a couple people interested in another run, so stand by... lol

EDIT: Just realized you're in Boston - I was up there last week. If you've seen a silver V8V with red interior buzzing around, that's my buddy I was visiting. Loved it there, Boston is a great city!

Richard, just wanted to let you know that my catch can arrived today. It looks like the post office played ice hockey with the package. It had a huge dent on one side. Luckily, and thanks to your well-padded packaging, the parts arrived unscathed. The can looks great too.

Add this to the (long) list of upgrades that I still can't do until I get my GT. I'm going to be a very busy boy once it arrives. Even the people at the dealership are excited to see all the little things I do to it. Nothing drastic, just a hint of personalization to make the car my own and stand out a little from the others. The matte blue wrap was way more dramatic by comparison.

Any installation instructions or tips for the can?

That was incredibly terrifying to read... I'm glad it survived! I've never had a post office treat a package like that before!

I'm having a custom mounting bracket fabricated to mount a catch can in my 4Runner, so I figured *sigh* why not........ I might end up doing a few more of these.

The cost will definitely be going up, though. I need to restock on supplies, especially hose, and the cans will be manufactured ad hoc instead of in a batch. Plus there will be a little more lead time since it isn't a whole batch.

I've had two people say they wanted a kit so far, anyone else please chime in! If enough people want in, I guess it will be a batch and that might speed things up a bit. I have no idea what manufacturing time is without ordering a batch, so I don't know if it will save any time.

All that said, if I do take orders for more kits, I'll be charging $320 shipped (48 States). Still worthwhile in my opinion, especially based on the feedback I've been getting for the updated kits.
