Pics of my V8V :)
I had been taking some pictures of my V8V before, but wanted to wait until I had some things done before sharing
I got the diffuser from Karl-Franz, a set of porterfield r4-s from ronin, a new front lip (plastic) from my dealer, the tails from AMB and had the dealer handle the subletting of the caliper painting and the installation of everything. I wanted to go red but have the white OE lettering and they were able to do it no problem. The body shop they sublet to did a great job, and the letters are painted on (not a sticker that's cleared over). I can also say that the porterfield pads have so far kicked out about 10% of the dust the pads I had on before did. Not sure if they were stockers, but holy COW were they bad. After 10 minutes of driving it would be everywhere - but now the brake dust is MUCH less.
On a side note, STL Motorcars (my local AM dealer) cleaned the barrels of my wheels while they were waiting for the calipers to come back, and I'm pretty sure they cleaned the front and rear oil coolers and took care of some of the rust on my rotors, too. What a fantastic surprise it was to see them go to such lengths!
And I don't know if I've ever seen three things (diffuser, tails, calipers) change the look of the car so much (and for the better!). The clear tails REALLY make the tungsten silver pop. With the red tails and non-red calipers, it's almost like the accents were in the wrong place. Plus the taillight red is a darker red, so the vibrant calipers make a good deal of contrast in the right place.
I also had a great time at the St. Louis All British Car Show today! Didn't take home anything in my class (Other British Sports Car), but there were some great cars and a buddy and I made some new friends.
Here are a few before / after pics of the stuff mentioned above!
