DB9 Fall and Winter Storage
DB9 Fall and Winter Storage
Hey guys I've had another great summer with my aston and now its time to put it away for storage. I'll be storing it for the next 8 months and wanted to get some input and thoughts on what i should do to should prep my car for storage. My two main concerns are whether or not to use a fuel stabilizer and whether or not i should do an oil change. I flushed my engine oil in the beginning of this summer and have only put 2000 miles on my DB9. I feel like i should do an oil change but i am also thinking it might be over kill. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks
Below is my winter checklist.
Pump tires up to max pressure that is rated on tires to prevent flat spotting, remove battery or put on tender, add fuel stabilizer and go for a short drive. I also roll down my windows and partially close the doors to save on the weather seals. Aston recommends annual oil changes so with that in mind -- If it were my money that oil is completely fine and would be a waste to change it until your anniversary date.

Great tips guys. Thanks. I was told to replace the oil before storage so that I don't have dirty oil sitting in my DB9 all fall and winter. If i do just replace the oil and not filter do you guys think that it will be ok for me to run my car for all of next summer before i do a full oil and filter change. In my mind i think this is ok due to the fact i only put max 2000 miles a year on my db.

Storing it for 2/3 of the year gives me something to look forward to 2/3 of the year lol But honestly I don't really mind it. It really makes driving it that much more special
