Any update on this problem? I drove through a really bad rain storm Saturday night in my V8V on PSS's and it felt fine.

Compelled to chime in. As my V8V has quickly become my dd and have capitulated with respect to the paint work, I have driven in cold rain, 34 degrees, on PSS that are 2/3s gone and I am thankful for driver assist. It is difficult to feel the limits of friction and roll the throttle on with out seeing the driver assist light. I have another set of rims and may use another tire for winter driving, but not in snow.

Well I'm of the opinion that the PSS is a fantastic tire. I discovered that most of the tread on my rear tires had worn off after 4K miles/3.5 months. Michelin replaced the tires. Since they were replaced I have not had to drive through a heavy rainstorm.

However, I will echo another DBS owner (that he mentioned in another thread) that the DBS can be tail happy. I adore the car, and I can't account for the *huge* difference in power of my DBS and my previous XKR (which had a higher torque rating at a lower RPM), but there is a great deal of power with the DBS in any gear. That with the combination of the worn out tread was my problem with the heavy rain. I am sure having a *real* manual transmission has something to do with this as well.

Now, if this set of tires wear out in the net 3 months, I will know it is simply the power the DBS is putting through the wheels and I will just have to live with buying a new set of tires every 4 months or so. I do not smoke my tires and I don't track the car. My alignment is fine and there are no mechanical problems.

Maybe there is a little better wearing, quiet, and well performing tire that will last a little longer. It would be hard to go away from the PSS...
