Fuse 22
Fuse 22
Traded in my 2006 Vantage for a 2009 DB9. I want to pull the 22 fuse for the sound
On my Vantage looking at the fuse panel in the boot, there were two fuses missing. The bottom and fourth from the bottom on the inside row.
Does anyone know which fuse will disable the baffles on the DB9 and it's location?

Disappointed in Fuse 22 sound difference
So - perhaps a bit foolishly - I decided to install a remote switch for fuse 22, together with the changeover relay as detailed in a brilliant write-up on Pistonheads, without first simply listening to my '06 DB9 Volante with the fuse pulled.
The installation was painless, but when I pushed the button on the remote I was very surprised by how little difference it made. Yes, I could hear a little more low-midrange rumble at startup, but the difference was so small that I thought I must have done something wrong. I know it wasn't just my hearing, because my wife didn't even remark on the change.
I then removed the remote setup and re-started the car with just fuse 22 pulled, and it sounded just like when I activated the remote. In other words, just a subtle boost in the low-mids.
Is this the just nature of DB9s of my car's era? Is all the fuse 22 removal glory reserved for V8s?

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it is a non starter. I still would like to "hear," for myself. I looked in the boot on the right rear side for the fuse box, where it was on the Vantage. Didn't see it there on the DB9. Anyone know where the fuse box is located on the DB9?
Fusebox location
In my '06, the fusebox with the correct fuse is on the DRIVER'S side of the trunk. In my Volante, there is a small "step up" on the far left trunk floor with a carpeted cover attached with Velcro. Peel up the cover, and underneath is a triangular Styrofoam holder with a few tools inside, and the fusebox is forward of that. In my car, Fuse 22 is the furthest left and forward, up against a relay. It's yellow-colored.
